About Us

We focus on environmental , social and humanitarian design and it spans across architecture, interior design, urban planning and material design.

Driven by the belief that the world is in great need of change we are enthusiastic to bring design minds together to create a positive influence.

Therefore we are designing a festival in Tulum to design a better future for all. We have a 100 year plan with the children of the area firmly rooted at the centre of everything we are doing.

Together we will reimagine, rethink and redesign. And put nature at the centre of it all. What unites us is our belief in the power and potential of design as a tool for positive impact. We believe in the blank page and seeing better ways of doing things.

Our theme for design week is “water of the future”. Not a question, but a statement. We need to define in our areas, cities and livelihoods what the water of the future is and design for that.

We have partners in water organizations across all areas which include engineers, futurists, scientists, activists, innovators, non profits, public sector, commercial to make knowledge and skills available to everyone.

We believe creativity is the catalyst for change. Through creativity we can open hearts and expand through communities and bind us together. We strongly believe that everyone involved will benefit from the social and environmental value that is created at DWT. Being human is a shared experience and we want to take responsibility for it.

Our goal is to centralize knowledge, bring great people together, educate on possibilities, create action and celebrate creativity and design.

We are a regenerative festival by design, therefore everything we do will create positive outcomes on the environment and the community.

Our partners are selected by the positive way they conduct their businesses or projects.

We strive to empower everyone through collaboration and participation.

We have a passion for diversity, design in all forms and making a difference on a local level and that will eventually have global impact.

Design Week Tulum is a festival designed to become a blueprint for sustainable festivals worldwide.
